John Bry: Passion, humor, commitment, innovation: these are just a few of the words that describes John's approach and vision when it comes to working with cemeteries. John's no nonsense style and partnership approach has earned him a reputation for clearly outlining the issues and problems facing a project, and then setting about to develop comprehensive and sustainable results-oriented solutions . Johnstarted his 20-year career in preservation, heritage tourism and revitalization with ritualistic jaunts to local cemeteries with his great grandmother, whose father and uncles founded the original Madden Company. John's experiences and successes, which span the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic states in community revitalization, provide valuable insight to communities and organizations of many sizes and locations, and John can ably take on the challenges historic cemetery and memorial parks present in current times.
Rick Rickabaugh joined the Madden Company in October of 2008 as Creative Director. Rick is a co-founder of a graphic and web design company and brings those skills to his work with the Madden Company. In March of 2007 he was introduced to the cemetery business where he spent several months implementing marketing efforts that bringing awareness to the location. Additionally he organized and promoted events that generated excitement and attention leading to the revitalization of that cemetery. The experience Rick accumulated is now part of the Madden Company and will be an advantage to all of our clients.
Our Team: The Madden Company maintains partnerships with several groups and individuals experienced in a variety of fields, including landscape architects and monument conservators, and stands ready to put that team to work for you.
In all of his endeavors and travels over the years, John is told that his work perpetuates legacies in most every community, every building, and every place he has seen and been. His work touches lives and brings about a sense of pride to the residents and visitors who are impacted in those places, no matter how large or small. It is John's mission to continue to instill and pass on the sense of excitement, passion, interest, and love that his great grandmother placed in him long ago, so that each communities rich cultural and architectural heritage can live on.
